Neon-hued apparel rocked the boat of trends last year. It dominated runways and wardrobes of the major-league fashionistas, from spring to winter. Fluo was everywhere: on dresses, skirts, blouses, jackets, bags and accessories. Vivid colors were discernible from afar, regardless of the accompaniment of subdued colors and other strong tints.
As the fluo trend departed, we were left with a color, that’s not equally challenging as neon hues, but it boasts an empowering vibe. Orange ushers in a new aesthetic into our wardrobes and enables a variety of different styling. What goes with orange?

Basically everything. Orange, just like any other color, has a plethora of shades which can be attuned to your looks, mood and other colors that make for a full ensemble.
Delicate, peachy hue of orange hits home with a ubiquitous pastel purple.
This duo is truly hypnotizing and irresistable, so it is definitely worth trying. Pastel orange also looks great in combination with white, which further emphasizes its energizing power. White and orange define a perfect duo in streetwear-inspired ensembles. The strong character of both colors and the aggressive silhouette blend well with each other and create a pronounced end product.

What is a dress in a strong, juicy orange hue suitable for? Attire clad in commanding orange works best with neutral colors, such as white or black, or in juxtaposition with contrasting colors. In the first case, black will make the whole outfit even more adventurous, feisty and hard to take your eyes off it. Notably when we embellish it with sequins, Balmain’s muse.

What else an orange dress can go with? Outfits based on contrasting combinations is known in the fashion industry as color-blocking treatment. What is its idea? It is a form of exploration of taking two or three strong, dominating colors that are opposite to each other - and orange is perfect for those complementary sets. Combine it with a strong purple, in fairly darker shade, or with the color of the year - Classic blue.
You can also choose other shades of blue, both the dimmed ones in the aqua palette, and the super-strong ones, similar to cobalt and ultramarine. This is exactly the combination that appeared on the Balmain catwalk, where, as you can see, orange played one of the main roles in the spring/summer 2020 season. Juicy orange will also be tremendous in an inimitable duo with fuchsia, just like in Versace.

Neon-hued clothes have been replaced by a new palette, in which we experience different shades of blue, a lot of fillets, many pastels, but also the orange. Why orange then? It has a knack of finding itself in any color composition.
