The brand was founded in 1974 by Giuliana Marchini and Silvano Gerani. The designers had one goal: to bring a bit of characteristic Italian fun and a sense of humor to the serious market of luxury sportswear.

The first women's collection of the brand was created in 1976, and the first boutique opened only in 1989, in Milan.
