September marks a new period in the fashion calendar. Along with it, darker, somewhat subdued colors appear on the streets, immortal and stylish trench coats, ankle boots, blazers and of course plaid, which is present on every piece of clothing.
Checkered clothing in this season dominated all the important runways. In various forms and many sizes, they appeared on the projects of brands such as Off-White, Paco Rabanne, Chanel, Givenchy, Balenciaga and of course in the Burberry collection, which has been associated with this pattern for decades.
Givenchy and Balenciaga present us men's cuts and bold, large plaid, which gives the silhouette a more distinctive look. This is a trend that draws heavily from the 80s and power dressing, which accompanied women's stylizations, especially in the office environment. On the other hand, Alexander McQueen presents checkered clothing in the form of a total look, i.e. a black-and-white suit in a subdued but also strong contrasting plaid. Combined with heavy boots in grunge style, the suit looks feisty and full of character.
Women's checkered clothing, including the feminine gray-toned suit, can also be found at the Vitkac store. Marni's proposal is a classic yet unconventional checkered suit. In the jacket, you can see elements of red lining, and the flared 7/8 trousers go well with leather boots.
We saw checkered dresses on the Off-White runway, as well as at Celine, which offers us plaid in the English tweed edition. They go great with mustard leather boots and brown accessories. Checkered dresses were also found in the collection by Ricardo Tisci, who designed his first collection for Burberry. It did not lack the classic plaid of the English fashion house, which after years of oblivion, is fully restored to grace.
The checkered Burberry dress, which you can find in the Vitkac store, has a universal cut, which, depending on the accessories, is suitable for both the office and after hours.
The classic houndstooth and black and white plaid, which has now become a trademark of the Chanel fashion house, still strongly hold the trends. This season, Virginie Viard, successor to Karl Lagerfeld, reaches into the brand's archives and pulls out what is most associated with the DNA of the French brand. Such plaid looks great on every piece of clothing - from coats, through dresses, skirts, trousers, to autumn-winter accessories, like a warm and practical checkered scarf.
Burberry or Chanel - this season it's all about the plaid, not a specific logo. Women's checkered clothes always look stylish and chic, regardless of the designer who created it.

If you're hesitant about plaid, bet on checkered clothing in a classic form. A Burberry checkered scarf or a Burberry women's shirt is the best way to convince yourself of the timeless plaid. Burberry's colors are subdued, safe and look elegant in any situation.

Checkered clothing also includes the fashionable checkered blazers this season. This year, longer blazers in a men's cut, inspired by the silhouette of the 80s, are in. With shoulder pads, oversized and those that look as if they were not fully fitted to the figure - this nonchalance intrigues and makes you look very original.
