The sole is most often foam, but there is also a hardened one, which is more resistant to wear.
Where did UGG shoes come from?
It is hard to determine the exact origin of UGG. The footwear most likely comes from Australia or New Zealand. In the 1920s they were worn by Australian bushmen, and mass production started in the 1930s. They were popularised in the West in the 1970s by the Ugg Holdings Inc. brand, bought in 1995 by Deckers Outdoor Corporation.
Who made UGG famous? Such stars as Sarah Jessica Parker, Sarah Paulson, Katie Holmes, or Selena Gomez promoted the footwear. UGG shoes can be found in various versions: both short, ankle-high, and mid-calf or even knee-high.

The second type of super warm winter shoes are Moon Boots. Black, white, silver, navy, red... So many to choose from!
