Kanye West - from rapper to designer
When did Kanye West transition from rapper to designer? As the interested party claims, fashion and music have always been his two biggest passions and he has always tried to combine them in his private life. Although he took his first steps in show business on stage, as soon as he managed to gain a proper position, he did not shy away from showing off in designer stylings at all the most important galas and parties.
West has also always been friends with many famous fashion designers. Thanks to him, Olivier Rousteing, Balmain's designer, began to dress Kim Kardashian, and Riccardo Tisci became a very close friend of the Kardashian-West family.
In September 2011, Kanye West, however, presented his first clothing collection to the world. It didn't take long for the collection to be published in all major fashion and show business media. The spring 2012 collection did not yet predict what we would see in the following years. It was a robust combination of shape, oversized zipper accessories, and playful deconstruction. In contrast to West's current famous designs, this first collection was quite rich in patterned accents and a wide color palette.

However, this palette will become increasingly narrow with West's subsequent collections. The autumn 2012 collection will already be limited to three shades: black, white, and beige. However, the colors most associated with West as a designer today are primarily nude shades, which have revolutionized fashion in the last decade. All shades of beige, these are the colors that Kanye West loved the most. North West and her mother, Kim Kardashian, also let themselves be swept away by this aesthetic and often pose in muted outfits created by their father and husband.
These outfits, besides beige, gray, or simply muted colors, are also distinguished by simple cuts that focus on form and simplicity instead of rich decorations, fancy materials, and handmade embroidery. Fashion labelled as Kanye West is clothing of the future, which should form a very coherent whole with its owner. Tight trousers, bandage dresses, bras of practical, sporty cut, or loose, utility sweatshirts - these are the designs that have returned in various variations in the designer's recent collections.
Yeezy conquers the world
Although Kanye West is currently boycotting fashion weeks and does not present his new clothing proposals, he is still very focused on the project that brings him the most profit. This is, of course, a successful collaboration with the Adidas brand, thanks to which new Yeezy shoe models are released every season. These are sneakers that for many people are the pinnacle of dreams and even an object of cult.
Initially, the models were produced in very limited quantities, which further increased the demand. Yeezy is undoubtedly a project that will long imprint West's name in the fashion world, even if his interesting but often criticized collections presented on the catwalk did not appeal to a wider audience.
